
Este llamado fue lanzado por militantes, trabajadores, estudiantes, intelectuales y artistas internacionalistas que se han visto forzados a vivir en Francia y en diferentes países del mundo dadas las condiciones económicas, sociales y políticas que subsisten en Sri Lanka. Recibió de inmediato el apoyo de militantes obreros, campesinos e intelectuales de Sri Lanka y de los trabajadores y militantes del mundo entero.
Reciban el aporte de nuestro saludo caluroso a la primera victoria ganada por el pueblo en el país.
Saludamos las huelgas generales (Hartal) del 28 de abril y del 9 de mayo bajo la iniciativa de todas las organizaciones sindicales.
Saludamos la movilización del pueblo del 9 de julio quien, en Colombo, y con la unión de cingalés, tamiles, musulmanes y de todas las confesiones y etnias, hicieron huir al presidente y forzaron la dimisión del Primer ministro.
El pueblo se levantó porque no podía más, porque quería poder comer, disponer de la electricidad, tener medicamentos y gasolinas.
Escuchamos los slogans: “¡Setenta y cuatro años, eso es suficiente!” “¡Demasiadas divisiones!” “¡El poder al pueblo!” surgidas en las manifestaciones.
Sí, el pueblo tiene razón. El presidente se ha ido. Y todas las instituciones que lo tenían acorazado deben partir con él. El presidente interino no dispone de ningún mandato para usar al ejército y reprimir al pueblo. Condenamos firmemente las declaraciones según las cuales los manifestantes son fascistas. Hay que advertírselo: todo intento de represión del pueblo en un baño de sangre provocará manifestaciones masivas en todas las capitales del mundo hasta la victoria total del pueblo esrilanqués.
Todos los prisioneros políticos deben ser amnistiados y las fuerzas del orden y militares que se rehusaron a tirar sobre el pueblo deben ser reintegrados con todas sus compensaciones.
Hace setenta y cuatro años, la cuestión de la Constituyente había sido planteada. Lo es de nuevo hoy en día. El pueblo fue capaz de barrer con los corruptos en el poder. Tiene la capacidad de dirigir al país.
Esa mujer que lloraba la muerte de su marido tiene razón, había debido esperar más de 24 horas haciendo cola frente a una gasolinera: “No soy yo ni mi marido quienes contratamos esa deuda, pero es mi marido quien la ha pagado con su vida. Son todos los regímenes sucesivos, los que contrataron esas deudas, los únicos responsables de la muerte de mi marido.”
La deuda contratada por los corruptos no le pertenece al pueblo.
Lanzamos una advertencia solemne: es al pueblo esrilanqués a quien le corresponde definir libremente su futuro.
No les corresponde a los dirigentes de los Estados Unidos de América, ni a ninguna otra potencia extranjera, decidir sobre el futuro del pueblo esrilanqués. No le corresponde a Biden el decirle al gobierno esrilanqués qué debe hacer para “restablecer la estabilidad económica”.
El FMI no es nadie para dictar el programa económico que incluye privatizaciones en Sri Lanka.
Lanzamos una advertencia contra todo intento de dividir a este pueblo victorioso creando conflictos y provocaciones.
Estaremos al lado del pueblo esrilanqués, quien sabrá encontrar por sí mismo Libremente su vía.
¡No a la represión! ¡No a toda injerencia extranjera!
